Strength for Life

This class is an anaerobic strength class. The majority of the movements performed will be natural to the human body. The idea is to increase the strength of human movement and to improve the quality of life. As a result you will be reducing injuries caused by picking up your children, putting away groceries, moving furniture, shoveling snow etc. You will be pushing, pulling, lifting odd objects, throwing, using your body weight among many other activities. No class will be the same so you will never get bored. Since most of the exercises will be compound movements, more then 1 joint, your work capacity will go through the roof. Which means you will see positive adaptations to the body.

The hour will include a 15 minute warm-up to properly prepare the body for exercise, followed by 30 minutes of “work” and ending with a 15 minute cool-down with passive stretching to reduce soreness.
